The first circular PP suitcase from Moplen QCP PP

On Earth Day 2019, Samsonite introduced its first suitcase collection made from Moplen QCP PP.

The ‘grey-green S’Cure ECO edition is the first suitcase in the world made with recycled curbside collected plastic packaging waste. The shells are made of recycled polypropylene (PP) from Post-Consumer packaging and the inner liner is made from recycled plastic PET bottles.

This makes the S’Cure ECO “Green Grey” suitcase not only sustainable but also light and strong for the best travel experience. Plastic waste is being reused and material too valuable to throw away is used for a functional and high-quality product.

This sustainable solution will, in the current spirit of times in which we are becoming more conscious of the environmental impact of plastic waste, without a doubt inspire travellers around the world to make a wise but stylish choice that will change the environment for the better.

Pauline Koslowski, Director Research and Innovation Samsonite Europe: “The circular economy offers multiple possibilities for material selection of our suitcases. Thanks to the close cooperation with the right partners like QCP, SUEZ and LyondellBasell, we have succeeded to improve recycled materials to a higher level so that they comply to our quality standards
